Nana’s Green Tea (and Stuffs)

For this week, I’ve already like eating all this nonsense unhealthy (but comfort) food. Not to mention that only several of this meal already consume my whole 4 days budget of eat here. I have to survive for the next several days suppressing my budget on food in order to save more...

The first one I eat is this sinful dessert that I’ve been targeting since forever, It’s Nana’s Green Tea. I visit the store in Jiyugaoka.

What makes this cafe special is all the usage of tea as ingredients which makes all of their dessert very tasty! Since I’m a green tea lover, this is really awesome. Me and my friend orderd the very big dessert one. Mine is on the right.

Enough with the dessert.

On the other day, we go to Izakaya (izakaya means a drinking place, bar, or whatever you may called it. It’s not like a clubbing place, it’s more like a restaurant that specialized in selling beers and stuff with a lot of small complimentary food).

I go to this place called Hanbei in Shibuya. Sorry for didn’t take photos (completely forgot!!) but this restaurant ambience is so damn nice. The song, the decoration, all reflecting years of 1950s. It’s the old style but very fun!! Really are a change of environment.

I ordered the Frozen Orange Alcohol one (mix of vodka, I think, combined with orange syrup PLUS frozen small orange in there! SO have to wait for a while to can eat the frozen orange. Very nice concept!)

And my other order is this bacon with cheese and asparagus, and a very big okonomiyaki.

Actually we ordered so much mure such as chicken skin, gizzards, quail eggs, french fries, nabe and etc but I didn’t take the photos because at that time everything already messy I didn’t even have the mood to take photos. Haha!

These comfort food, are really are comforting (despite of the fat and the price..) especially during my holiday of my new store work. I can say that my store work is quite depressing. Lucky all my seniors is so nice to me, I’ve just can ignore that minority depressing factor. Haha.

Anyway I’m looking forward to another holiday day, so I can have a simple sweet escape, with good food and good companions!

Nb: the day after, I eat again during my lunch break; one bowl of a very unhealthy Abura (Oil) Soba with cheese. *sigh*

Slurpieess!! *nyam*

Emergency Food : Nissin Laksa Cup Noodles

This is gonna be a trashy post. But I post it anyway. Hahah.

Last time when I have holiday, but my friends all working and didn’t have a day off, I become a very lazy pig at house. Wakes at 13.00, surfing all day, and eat poorly. I remember at that time I didn’t have any food at home, and have only this:

Nissin Laksa Cup Noodles from my friend that he brought from Singapore. Happy whatttt hahaha.

The laksa is real, guys. It’s damn real. These below are the steps from dry noodles, after the hot water, and the soup. See the soup.

Even they put the shrimp and taupok there! Taupok is some kind of tofu but better (and unhealtier, I guess?).

And see the soup! It is really consist a coconut milk essence I guess. At first I thought maybe It’s only will be a clear soup with laksa taste in it but totally damn wrong WTF they really made a laksa there. Haha. Really fulfilled me for the whole lazy day.

Next time If I go to Singapore will buy so much of these stuff like mad.

Japan Christmas (Winter) Illumination Party 2013

When approaching Christmas here, in Japan, especially Tokyo really are become a very festive season. Every places and malls and shopping centres or tourist spot are competing for the best illumination that they can give to customers. What is illumination, exactly?

Illumination is a series of so much lights combines with each other as a decoration, with sometimes additional effect such as holograms, and so on. The lights are put on the trees, the road light and everything that it can be attached to so it all went beautiful altogether. Imagine a big Christmas tree or light surrounding you everywhere, that’s the kind of feeling.

Here is the example, illumination at Japan. I didn't know the exact place since I Google it, but me myself really wanted to go!

Sorry for late post but last week, me and several of my friends managed to check the illumination at Roppongi (Tokyo Midtown) and Tokyo Tower Illumination.

This is the Roppongi one, they decor all the garden with lights. It is considered to be one of the best Illumination in Tokyo.

In the end there is a quite spectacular garden of moving lights on the back of the garden, as the climax show. Sorry for only taking photos so I cannot show you the movement. It's very beautiful and magical.

And this one is on Tokyo Tower. Nothing much compared to Roppongi one. Several cute decorated bench, mini tokyo tower and christmas tree. But completed with christmas songs that are played!

Us under Tokyo Tower, doing foolish stuff.

Beside these two, I havent had any time again to hunt for other illumination. Since my work already started and become so frickin' busy all the time.
However, somehow there this thought of me that said it’s funny that most of the Japanese are not Christian but they celebrate Christmas like mad. Sometimes I feel like, this kind of happy feeling I feel for Christmas is different for them. They only see it as a commercial season, present season or just holiday, or festive season; while for me, it is the second most important day of Christian for the born of Jesus on that day. Somehow I feel ironic, but yeah. Just enjoy the light. I cannot feel the same ambience like this in Indonesia so I take every moments of Christmas happily here!
