Heroine Make Liquid Eyeliner Review

Last time, because my Etude Oh m'Eye Line! Jet Black eyeliner that I brought from Indonesia is ran out, I have to buy a new eyeliner.

After around 30 minutes more browsing, finally I decided to try this eyeliner brand:

Heroine Make Liquid Eyeliner (Black).

This brand is not a brand new product, already launched several years ago I guess? But I didn’t have any time to try it before (and because in Indonesia this brand is very expensive as hell) and now I finally can try it!

The Look?

First look (taken in the morning).

after 12 hours (taken at night; that explain the tone difference among these pictures).

as you can see, there are some blemish of the liner because of the oil. Below are another photo taken on another day after 9 more hours of usage when I have excess oil.

Disasterrr.

How Is It?

I cannot say I really love or really hate this product. Although its is said it is waterproof, I find it oily-messy in the end of the day. My previous eyeliner is getting messy too after more than 8 hours usage but much more like crisp-flaky messy (that easier to be touched up and cleaned) rather than oily messy (ruined eyeshadow; hard to be touched up). However this product stay just fine for around 6-7 hours so that should be fine if you only use it for a short period (not like a whole day worker like me :s)

Compared to my Etude product before, the resistance is still down under and the drying speed is kinda slow. The thing I love more about the product is the very soft tip of the applicator. It is very soft and comfy even when I apply this eyeliner, sometimes I would like to apply it again and again only to feel the softness of the tip brush hahaha.

The Score?
So, for the score, i give it:

3,75 / 5,0
0,25 for the soft tip.

For me, I have to find another better brand rather than this, because I haven't found any Etude store in Japan.. So sad. The only Korean makeup store that I have found for this 2 months here is only Tony Moly and I don’t quite like the brand. I’d prefer The Face Shop or Etude.

However here in Japan they have a so called as "1 day tattoo eyeliner" that stays ALL day long without messy, they said. I would like to try one but later maybe, since the price is quite expensive compared to the regular eyeliner. I assume it has better quality? Can;t be sure, have to try it by myself first. I have to start saving and hunting from now on then!

See you on next post!

A Little Shopping Spree

Finally I got my first bill for gas, electricity, and phone!

My gas bill. 913 yen.

The gas is cheap for sure, I rarely cook.

Electricity. 2.458 yen.

Not too bad. But surely by the next 3 months it will be more expensive cause no doubt I will use much more appliances such as heater or kotatsu to fight the winter.

My phone bill!! I am very nervous when opened my bill envelope at that time.

Surprisingly, it is cheaper than I thought. Remember the previous post about the forecast bill for my phone? I wonder why it is cheaper (still dont know until now). I thought it will be 8000 yen up above something. Only got 7300 yen for phone bill just makes my day!!

Still not getting my bill for water though. I wonder how much it will cost? *scared*

Recently, not much to do except to attend training in my company like as always. However around this week I’ve been buying going to several places such as Tokyo Midtown, Tokyo Sky Tree, Yoyogi Park, and several every day need shopping. However  I didn’t manage to take proper photos because most of them at that time I go unintentionally only for taking a little bit walk after church (on Sunday).

I bought several new things though! So exciting but feels a little bankrupt at the same time..

I bought a small humidifier from Muji.

This is still in the middle of Fall but the air is very dry already. If I dont buy this thing, my skin will be ruined! It usually went very dry in the morning without humidifier. I have to buy this to prevent my skin not too get very dry or else it will be very itchy.

After that I buy a new eyeliner, lashes and colored contact lenses!!

  • Heroine Make Liquid Eyeliner Jet Black : 924 yen.
  • Candy Magic 1 Day Colored Contact Lens Miracle Brown : 1680 yen.
  • Diamond Lash 5 pair : 1050 yen.
See that’s why I feel poor already (but happily poor!)

However however however finally this is my first time of buying colored contact lenses!! I never use lenses before but after a while here I am really really convinced to try colored contact lenses. I saw that almost 98% of Japanese girl wear contact lenses so why not try? Since I think the quality of colored contact lenses is better here rather in Indonesia, so I try this Candy Magic brand. Firstly I buy the daily usage one. Want to try whether I can use contact lenses or not.  One box consist of 5 pairs of contacts. So exciting to try all of these!

Maybe on the next post later I will try to review this brand, along with the lashes and eyeliner! So see ya then!

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter Review

Hello guys! This is actually my first beauty product review so I'm gonna do my best. Try to be simple as possible, less word but more descriptive :)

The main item that I want to review this time is the Revlon Colorbust Lip Butter Series. Yes, the series with the infamous Emma Stone in most of the posters.

The exact series I bought was the Creme Brulee (nude) and Cupcake (pale pink):

The color on my hand:

It's not glittery, the shine comes from the moisturizer of the lip butter, and I MEAN IT. LIP BUTTER. Here is the picture with the lipstick applied.

For overall, I like the color! especially the Creme Brulee one. It's sooooo pretty nude that really blends in with my face tone and refreshing the natural color of my lips. I'am using but kind of not using lipstick at all! It's just so fabulous. For the pink, actually I'm searching for a much paler one than this (such as Nicki Minaj's pale pink from MAC) but since MAC is so goddamn expensive for me so this one should be enough. For now :)

My pros opinion:
  • All of this time I usually avoid lipsticks cause my lip is kinda sensitive and dry, and it will get much rougher after i'm using lipstick. So usually I prefer lipgloss or lipcream instead of lipstick. However, this product is different I'm so fell in love with it! This lipstick really moisturize the lips, the so-it-say lip butter really makes this lipstick suitable for people with dry lips like me! No wonder they named it LIP BUTTER, not lipstick.
  • The scent is so candy-like, so sweet and not too strong. Having hard time resisting to not lick my lips all the time WTF.
  • Cute and simple design of the packaging.
  • Really affordable price. I bought it for 75.000IDR its so fuckin' cheap for a really great product!
  • Soft shades, even the strong-colored one, suitable for people who tried to wear lipstick for learning /  too afraid to use strong color.
  • Very cute if it's coated with clear lip gloss! Sorry, in the picture the difference is not quite much but you can see that with the clear gloss, the color will be even more softer and smooth.
  • Easy to be cleaned, even without cleaner. The color not tinted your lips after you cleaned it up.
My cons opinion:
  • Somehow the shade is very faint. To achieve color like in the picture, I have to swipe it for about 2-3 times. If you prefer strong and thick colored lipstick, don't choose this. Will be fed up with how much you have to swipe to achieve the strong color.
  • Not water proof, means very easy to be removed.
  • Not suitable for people who prefer lipstick, since it is kind of too moist I think.
Repurchase? For me, definitely. Just compare the pros and cons lah.

Ok! That is my first review! I will do another one this is so exciting!! See you again on the next review!!

Chanel Makeups: 2013 Pre-Fall Paris-Edimbourg Metiers d'Art Show

Important notes:
  • this is purely a work of an amateur. every judgement / way of work does't associate with the original work itself.
  • on a makeup experiment like this, I won't state what makeup brand I am using. Its up to you guys to follow and experiment with your own makeup color and brand. (however if you want to know the details, feel free to ask me by commenting.
In this post I tried to imitate the makeups used for One of Chanel Art Fashion Show.

The example picture is the courtesy of Sandra's Closet. The illustration is MINE :

Key points:
  • flawless pale face color,
  • barely-there grey/dark brown eye shadow (you can see on the example even you cant tell the models wearing eye shadows or not),
  • eyeliner precision (white and black),
  • sheer pink blush,
  • pink to nude matte lip color and heavy lip gloss (without glitters).
My result are this (only edited the brightness, photos taken with an ordinary digital camera so please tolerate the imperfect light, ok?):

My mistake:
Everything looks strangely faint (eye shadows, blush, eyeliner, and lip color).

Actually, firstly I put thicker color than all this but I'm quite afraid to put on much color on my face since I looked at it, it was kinda over-colored compared to the example. I wiped it more or less until reaching the same shade in the example, however when I photoed it, the color looks incredibly faint! Now I see that makeups need to be thicker in reality cause when it was captured, the color will more or less become fainter in result.

in spite of all the flaws, I'm really looking forward to try another runway makeup look. I hope I'll get better and better with more practice!

See ya!
